| Looking good When you go out you want to look your best. We’ve been grooming, plucking, trimming and toning for years now. Next step is makeup for men. Most of us have got some little facial blemish, or mark we’d like to cover. Years of wearing spectacles have left just the slightest damage to the bridge of my nose. For me going out’s a chance to put the contact lenses in. The idea of using male makeup as a concealer had never occurred to me. ‘Men! Makeup, whatever next’ I thought, daring myself to give The Men Pen a try. First application To be honest putting it on was just weird, at first. “Too obvious”, I thought, but after a bit of gentle blending with the finger, it was difficult to make out the concealer for skin. Maybe I’d paid more attention to those TV fashion programmes than I’d been letting on. In a few moments, the marks had gone. My partner didn’t notice I was wearing it as we sat in a restaurant, but then this wasn’t our first date. Consider using it again? Since that first dabble, my partner has been joking with me about it ever since. While we want to look good, our partners probably don’t want to hear about how we got there. (We’re not that interested in hearing about their make-up experiments). Back in the working week I eagerly watched as ladies checked their makeup, looking for tips and wondering how my fellow commuters would respond if I popped out a mirror to check on my foundation. That would give the tube travellers a talking point. Definitely But if looking good feels good, do what you have to do. If the women are worth it, so are the men.
